How To Build a Flagstone Patio?
At I&A Construction we build a minimum of 4-inch reinforced concrete on top of crushed stone subbase resting on the native soil or compacted subgrade, this is the best way to build a flagstone patio since it will be resting on a firm foundation and base, that will never shift or come apart and it will stand for decades to come. Once we have the contract signed, we will take care of everything from planning to purchasing and installation. One important step in getting your flagstone patio construction is, stone selection. This simply means we will take you to a stone yard and have you pick out the crates of flagstone before it is delivered to your house. This assures that you’re getting the proper colors and sizes that meet your needs for the design that has been produced. The last step is after all the flagstones have been laid, and the joints between the stones have been finished, we will clean the job site and wash the patio to remove any excess mortar that may remain on your flagstone.
